Hello I’m Melissa
(megan is my middle name)
I’m a Hampshire-based wedding & family photographer
I love capturing genuine, candid moments, and I couldn’t be more grateful to have built a career as a full-time wedding and family photographer.
For as long as I can remember, I’ve wanted to be a photographer
I first picked up a camera in an after school photography club where I learnt to use an old film SLR camera. My Grandpa had given me his camera to use and I was instantly hooked, capturing the beauty of the world in the way I saw it.
From endless hours playing around with the camera and learning how to develop the negatives in a dark room, photography quickly turned from a hobby into a passion.
In 2011 my parents bought me my first DSLR, and I went on to study photography at both college and University. I built up experience covering photography for weddings of close friends and family and assisting Wedding Photographers as a second shooter.
In 2017, I started Melissa Megan Photography. I worked part-time which allowed me to capture weddings and families on the weekends.
In 2020, I achieved my dream of becoming a full-time wedding photographer!
And in 2024, I opened Melissa Megan Studios, the new home of my family photography!

My style is all about storytelling.
I love to blend candid moments with subtle direction, creating images that feel natural, romantic, and full of emotion. I believe weddings and family shoots are a reflection of your unique journey as a couple, and my goal is to capture that in a way that feels authentic and effortless.
